     Toyin Abraham has said she has been hospitalised due to illegal leakage of her new movie. “Malika”. The new movie was released to the cinema on Dec 15th, 2023. She recounted on how she stumbled, and also said she almost ran mad after she saw it, with the help of the newsmen at the federal investigation department of Nigeria and also the police force where some individuals were arrested in connection with the illegal leakage of the movie.  

     However, she also said “if you look at me, you will know that I am actually not okay that she had to come from the hospital that she has been having panic attacks seeing her movie close to N500m out there. She saw the movie through a telegram link and truly she saw her movie malaika she was like her whole world was coming to an end in front of her, As a woman that she is, she was crying and her manager asked her not to worry and started making calls to her godparents, her husband the filmone team. They started calling tech guys and how to get to Google, they called telegram and they started breaking the links. She also recalled on how she was desperate to the level where she had to start begging on of the culprits on telegram. 

     Lastly, this problem of “illegal leakage” is something that has been a major occurrence in the film making industry. Although few steps have been take to erode it, it had been to to no avail. But this bold, yet heart breaking public action taken by Toyin Abraham may hopefully serve as a lesson to the many other culprits.
