EDUCATION: POST-UTME SCREENING FOR THE 2024/2025 ADMISSION

        Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun state will conduct a post utme screening for candidates who are willing to be admitted to the university. The duration for the UTME/ Direct entry candidate is 6 weeks.          The candidates who had 160 and above in their JAMB and candidates we have uploaded their WAEC and NECO result are eligible to register and sit for the examination.         According to the institution, the UTME proposed examination is from Tuesday 3rd of September, 2024 - Thursday 5th of September, 2024 and the venue is the main campus, Ago Iwoye. The post utme screening will be conducted through computer-based tests. EDUCATION: NO POSTPONEMENT OF EXAMINATION

        This semester has been an tiring one, students resumed May 20th, 2024 and here they are preparing for examination on July 22nd, 2024, the school management is trying to follow the academic calendar released since the begining of this year meanwhile during the time second semester was meant to start students were still writing first semester's exam but the school authority still followed the academic calendar which lead to rushing In this second semester.         However, most people just resumed this month some after the ileya festival due to one reason or the other but they weren't put into consideration they insisted on the fact that they don't want ASUU strike to affect the students calendar so they have to rush the students which is of advantage and disadvantage to the students.         According to the SUG, they said "after tireless efforts and different meeting with the school management there will be no exte...

EDUCATION: COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE LAST SEMESTER'S RESULTS

        In the last semester's results record has it that over three thousand results were below 50 marks so the SUG( Students' Union Government)sent a questionnaire through Google form for people who scored below 50 for them to fill it, some departments already made changes while some hasn't.         Moreover, on the 8th of July, 2024 the SUG released a memo regarding the last semester's result and it says that students that believe their issue should be investigated i.e they attended class,did test, wrote assignment and sat for examination, they should write a formal letter directly to the office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic and it should be addressed to the provost,the dean and the Head of department, in the letter the student should state their name, matric number, course they have issue with and the detailed reasons why they believe the issue should be investigated, once the letter is written the student should reach out to their de...
