VALENTINE: A CELEBRATION OF LOVE

       Valentine's day is celebrated on February 14th each year. It's a day to celebrate romantic love and affection, and is often celebrated with cards , flowers and chocolates and other gifts. The origins of the holiday are quite complex. The name "valentine's day" comes from Saint Valentine, a Roman priest who lived in the 3rd century. He was imprisoned for performing marriages for soldiers, who were not allowed to marry. While he was imprisoned, he is said to have healed the jailer's blind daughter which resulted to his death. Overtime, his legend grew and he became known as the patron saint of lovers. The first valentine's day celebration began in the middle ages and by the 18th century, it was a common practice to exchange handmade cards and gifts. The modern version of valentine began in the United States, where it was popularized by greeting card companies in the 19th century.

       Today, Valentines day is celebrated around the world, it is a popular way to express love and affection for friends, families and significant others. Meanwhile in this age of ours the Gen Z Baddie as they do call it they seem not to understand the meaning of valentine due to the lack of ignorance and caution it has caused many unwanted pregnancy which might lead to abortion which have risk of death. That's why we have different types of people on this valentine day we have the single ones who may collect or not collect gifts, the awwn awnn geng, the ones in relationship that might collect or not collect gifts and if she doesn't collect gifts she feels the guy has no feelings for her or he is not too good for her and the break up just because the guy didn't gift her, am using "she" because that's  what most ladies does  and it needs to stop, they feel they are not loved enough all because of valentine gift, the guy might be going through financial breakdown which we don't know so we all have to be a very understanding person cause when he had enough he does cater for your needs, we also have the galentines, we have people that will collect from their friends gift, we have people that will be caught cheating that day and many relationships will me destroyed that day and many relationships will start that day, we also have the one that doesn't even believe in Val, and lastly the ignorant ones feels they have to spread their legs all in the name of valentine, some do it for love or some other useless things which will lead to unwanted pregnancy. What a mysterious day, isn't it?

       However, we can't talk about valentine's day without talking about love and having the knowledge about love so that will bring us to the question WHAT IS LOVE? Love is a bond that often involves understanding each other's values, attitudes, believes, and life goals. It is also known as a deep feeling of affection , attraction and connection to another person, the question now is  what we youth practice nowadays is it Love or Lust? Because some people have lust for their partner and they call it love, we have to know the difference between these. Is in this age we see girls looking out for guys with iPhones and mad car, the guys also looking for girls that are endowed in order to satisfy their selfish desires. Out of 100% we just have 20% of love in this our age not just in relationship in most friendship too in the family also no love Instead they allow enviness, hatred, jealousy to reign which they will gain nothing from it, instead let love reign, let it lead, love your neighbour as yourself, if they are successful be happy for them and tell me why you won't live peacefully and also be successful, is also in this same age that you see girls saying if he doesn't have money I can't date him , do you have that money you are pressuring another person for?, and you also see guys saying if she can't offer me sex or satisfy me I can't date her, some will even act innocent and when you enter the relationship they start asking they won't have choice than to stay all because of love or because of money or some will even end it which they will call"breakfast" which is not meant to be so, it's this kind of guys that they over protect their sisters if they have, they won't allow any guy go close to her and they don't know what goes around comes around. Like I said from the beginning love is a bond that Involves understanding nowadays if you are too understanding they call you understanding girlfriend or boyfriend this age of ours is crazy mehn. For example this Veekee James that just got married to Femi she grew up in ajegunle come to think of that nevertheless she never lost hope,despite all the challenges she never useless herself all in the name that she didn't really have much, she didn't let filthy things get to her, see her now no man I repeat no man can brag about  money for her because she has her own money so as most of our parents they weren't born with silver spoon see them now they living a wonderful life let's try imitate what they do and also their love life.

       So am using this opportunity to say that ladies this is not the end of it all if you don't have enough now that doesn't mean you won't have forever, let's try to be patient, let's stop all these filthy acts, let's stop embarrassing this gender don't turn yourself useless all because of money that will end one day. Let's all try to be understanding these are really hard time let love reign and not material things, Guys don't let lust get over you, love her for who she really is, if she doesn't want to don't force it, if you feel you not comfortable with her decision end it don't waste her time, and on the other hand if she wants it then go ahead and be careful while going ahead and know you will have to bear the consequence when it leads to another thing.
