THE MADNESS THAT CURES MY LAND
Do you want to get more understanding on the adage that says what goes around comes around or the law of karma?, Watch the play THE MADNESS THAT CURES MY LAND written by Ola Awakan and directed by Ifeanyi Eziukwu.
It is a play of just 9 characters and they all played their role so well, is it the part of spicing it up with their energy?, is it the part of creating humour?, they all did perfectly well. It explains the current issue in Nigeria in the sense that due to the hardship of the economy, different families are departing if they are not departing there's no love there due to the way things are hard the head of the family (the father) gets insulted due to the fact that he can't meet up to the needs of the family and this is just one out of all the current issues in Nigeria.
It depicts the fact that the bourgeoisie takes the proletariat and the ones with different disabilities for granted which is not meant to be so, we are all one we should be treated equally because who on earth will ever think that a mad woman I repeat a mad woman would ever be the one to cure the land, so that is why I urge us all not to take anyone for granted regardless of the state the person is in, the religion, status, age, sex and so on because if one is not being treated well it will lead to stigmatisation which can cause depression and can lead to death which will be another problem entirely that's when people they will cherish you I see the reason why they say you won't know the value of someone until you loose the person.
This stage play dive into themes like man's inhumanity to man, political inappropriateness, religious intolerance, social misconduct and some other vices in the society that are being acted in the play "The madness that cures my land".
I urge you all to watch this play it's a must watch type of play that is why I didn't really talk about things that happened in the play so as not to be a spoiler alert for you guys. I will be in the comment section to know what you guys think about the play.
